We had a fantastic time taking part in the inaugural Hastings Science Fair last month. We displayed a small selection of automata which delighted visitors of all ages.
We also took over a classroom and ran free drop-in automata workshops all day. Over 160 automata were made in just 5 hours! Visitors could choose from a cranked running figure or a cardboard cam box. With help from artist Loulou Cousin and our fantastic team of volunteers people discovered the joy of making things move using simple materials.
Projects like this are only possible with the support of your donations. Help us present a learning and community programme and support our mission to promote engineering and creativity through automata. Be part of our future and make a difference today.
