This evening we have a new piece by Keith Newstead. Over 160 hours went into the making of this devilish new one-off design. You can more about the construction of the piece on Keith’s website here.
Keith has used a combination of found objects and hand made parts in this fearsome steampunk style vehicle. The heat is on as the leather-clad devil rides out, his fearsome dogs clambering along at the side of the wheels.

    Keith,
I love your new piece The Devil Rides Out. The smooth movement of the Devil and the finish work on the machine are just great. Makes me won’t to burn all the automata I have made. I sure wish I had your imagination and workmanship skills. Just a wonderful piece which I wish I could have made. Hope to visit the UK again and be able to meet you and see some of your work first hand.

It’s lovely, especially the hellhound powering the wheels.
